ResilienceNW 2012 is a community-focused disaster conference open to the public. Funded through an Urban Area Securities Initiative grant,
this Citizen Corps conference contains
5 full days of classroom trainings,
40+ expert instructors, and more than 60 classes!

On Tuesday, October 30th – You can attend a full day session on how to prepare your business to ‘weather’ just about any storm or disaster.

On Wednesday and Thursday, Oct 31st and Nov 1st – Faith-based, civic, humanitarian organizations, and government agencies come together to discuss how to speed recovery. Recovery is one of the areas in Disasters where citizens can AND DO offer the most assistance. Speakers from across the country will be on hand to guide attendees through how they can help most effectively.

There is also a track for our licensed health care practitioners and those who are interested in assisting with medically related disaster response. Medical Reserve Corps is one of our Citizen Corps partners and has put together a great line up of courses.                                                                  

On Friday and Saturday (Nov 2nd and 3th) sessions are geared toward those who really want to ‘get their hands dirty’ and help out during a disaster. Courses cover the gamut and with 5 fantastic, concurrent sessions running throughout the day – it will be a to choose between 40 distinct classes! Students will be treated to a working lunch with excellent Keynote speakers on both Friday and Saturday.
